Red Hot Chili Peppers släpper We Salute You den 1 maj vilket är en EP som består av sex klassiska låtar för att fira deras induktion till Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
EP’n består av låtar från The Ramones (Havana Affair), Iggy & The Stooges (Search & Destroy), Neil Young (Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere), David Bowie (Suffragette City), The Beach Boys (I Get Around) och Dion and the Belmonts (A Teenager In Love).
Chris Rock presenterade Red Hot Chili Peppers under Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame och mindes tillbaka till första gången han såg dem live:
”My friends and I were like, ’What the fuck is this shit? There’s a lot of white people in here.’ They came out and I couldn’t understand a fucking word they said, and they had socks on their dicks! I had never been to a white show before, so I thought all white groups put socks on their dicks. Years later, they’re one of the biggest groups in the world and getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They have black ties on their dicks tonight.”
